Dir Ron Hutchinson, September 2013
Victoria played Rita in 'Dead on Her Feet', written by Ron Hutchinson and directed by Barry Kyle, at The North Wall and The Arcola Theatre, October- November 2012
WHATS ON STAGE 4 STARS -
'The performances in Barry Kyle's production are consistently, almost overwhelmingly, strong...the scene in which we witness the unravelling of vulnerable, anxious Rita (Victoria Fischer) is distressing in the extreme.'
TIMEOUT REVIEW -
'Viewers of Saturday teatime TV will watch with a thrill of despondent recognition as Carney conjures romance, rivalry and crises from thin air, or humiliates and tortures in the name of the human spirit. 'For the joy!' he cries, as Victoria Fischer's mentally fragile housewife has to be hauled on to the finish in her underwear - almost believing himself.'
PUBLIC REVIEW 4 STARS -
'The three pairs of dancers are equally well played...Myron, the frustrated college graduate, and Victoria Fischer as Rita, his neurotic wife give a sense of discontentment and frustration with both the American dream and each other'
'This is a timely and thought provoking production with a talented and youthful cast giving mature and engaging performances.'
